Prior to joining Graves Law PLLC, he gained valuable experience working for a mid-sized independent oil and gas exploration and production company with significant U.S. onshore and international offshore assets, as well as a boutique probate law practice.
Outside of his legal career, Sam is a cattle enthusiast and maintains active herds of registered Simmental and Simbrah beef cattle with his family in northeast Texas in his hometown of De Kalb and east of Austin in Giddings, utilizing state-of-the-art enhanced genomic evaluations, embryo transplant, and in vitro fertilization practices. He stays involved with his breeds’ organizations as a past President and Chairman of the Texas Simmental/Simbrah Association and as the President and Chairman of the Simbrah Breeders Council.
In his free time, Sam enjoys spending as much time outside and at the ranch as possible with his chocolate lab, Madison, cooking, and hosting dinner parties for friends and family.
